When faced with the option of either having fun or running a video game boycott community, most people choose the first option. Apparently, this includes people currently running video game boycott communities.
The Left4Dead 2 boycott (“NO-L4D2″ if you’re using it as the code for the electronic lock on your “moist locker”) officially ended today. There’s a lot of debate about why the boycott ended. Did it end because Valve flew the leaders out to Valve headquarters? Did it end because ..Valve flew the leaders out to Valve headquarters? I personally think the boycott ended because it’s hard to log on to Left 4 Dead 2 with your steam account if that steam account also happens to run a Left4Dead 2 boycott community. How many people are going to answer your cries for help after you painstakingly took the time to craft this image?
Look, Valve. We turned your own game's logo against you for the purpose of telling you to go fuck yourself.
I always found this boycott situation pretty humorous. The boycott was started because the leaders were afraid that Valve was going to stop supporting the first Left 4 Dead. Who the fuck is going to be playing the first Left 4 Dead after Left 4 Dead 2 comes out? I mean, I will because I just ate crackers for breakfast, but the Valve-powered zombie shootin’ will center around Left 4 Dead 2 as soon as it drops.
