Get a Flight to Germany to Throw Away “Killer Games”

by Bryan Sharp on October 15, 2009

A German advocacy group is finally giving gamers a way to get rid of all those games they enjoy playing.

The group is holding an event on October 17th that encourages people to toss their “killer games” into a trash can. Are Germans not allowed to have trash cans at home? Man, the allied nations really stuck it to them after that whole Nazi thing.

Maybe people really have games with a track record of murder that they need to properly destroy. The games could be possessed like Chuckie or just frustrated by their owners’ platforming incompetence.

The demonstration is a response to the terrible school shooting in Germany earlier this year that stole the lives of 16 people. It’s a shame that the reason for the event is going to be overshadowed by the ridiculousness of the anti-game focus.

Wouldn’t it be more effective to hold an event where people throw out bullets? or guns? or the very controversial “gun bullet” — a bullet shaped like a tiny gun that, once fired, fires an even tinier bullet and so on?
